Molly Rhinestones
An extraordinary artist, designer, door goddess, dog mom and friend to all she meets. Molly has been a trailblazer in NYC nightlife for over a decade after getting a degree in sculpture from MICA & KCAI.
She is currently juggling her passions of making dresses, hosting fun nights at cute bars, planning the best parties, and coming up with large scale art installations. Somehow she also found time to fall in love and get married. Unbelievable, right?
About the Couple
Jay Gambit
A composer, artist, designer, writer and cook. Their project Crowhurst contributed to the normalization of cross-pollination between metal and noise cultures, and their band Executioner’s Mask was a reference point in the modern goth/post-punk revival.
He is currently preparing for a major album release, working on film scores and getting back to fostering a frankly irresponsible amount of rescue cats.
THE COUPLE’S STORY
J: I was booked at the Spectrum on the first national headlining tour for Crowhurst and after the show, I saw this gorgeous girl in a bubblegum pink ballgown with a big bow on it. It truly was love at first sight, and after the show I asked her if she’d like to get a drink next time I came into town.
That next summer we made plans to meet at Lovegun, but unfortunately when the moment came I didn’t see her behind the bar. I sent her a few texts but her phone was (presumably) dead. I figured she wasn’t interested so I respectfully backed off and that was it for the next ten years.
Last spring, I managed to convince her try dinner one more time and I don’t think that date ever ended. From the moment I laid eyes on her again it felt like there was some cosmic force that was determined to bind us together.
